Benefits of Mangosteen tea
I
have heard about different teas like Green tea, Jasmine tea, etc. Mangosteen
tea, Rosella tea, Lemon grass tea, and vanilla coffee I found these teas in
bali and they don’t taste like a tea but like juicesJ
Mangosteen
(Gracinia Mangostana) is fruit dark purple or reddish in color. It has
sour but tastes good. This fruit is originally from Indonesia but it is also
cultivated in Southeast Asian countries.
Coming
to nutritional value; Mangosteen Tea is rich in antioxidants, proteins, carbohydrates,
potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, and fibre.
Now,
we will have look on the health benefits of this tea:
- Prevents cancer
- Yes, you read it right. It helps to prevent cancer due its antioxidants properties making body radical free. It helps in discharging cancer cells by blocking nutrients.
- Weight loss
- Having mangosteen tea in the morning or including in your diet will help to reduce weight. The high fiber content helps to increase the metabolism rate. The vitamins in it like vitamin A, vitamin C helps to maintain the immunity of the body.
- Skin care
- The aniti-oxidants present in mangosteen tea helps to make skin or maintain healthy skin. It helps in treating skin aging, eczema, acne problems, skin allergies, and works are anti-bacterial

- I have bought this tea from Bali for around 60,000 IDR that is approx 285 INR. You can get it with sugar or without sugar. I opted for sugar free tea
- This is how I prepare mangosteen tea
- Boil some water or you can also take normal water as per choice.
- If you are using powder add 1 tbsp of mangosteen tea powder and stir well. Your tea is ready. You can also add honey if required. I do not prefer to add honey.
- If you have tea bags take hot/normal water and dip the tea bags just as normal tea preparation.
